Although I love my St Louis based boudoir photography studio, I also love to travel for photoshoots. Mostly I prefer being at home and knowing what to expect from the lighting and different sets we have in the photo studio. But a couple of times a year I love getting outside and photographing women in a natural environment. This boudoir photograph was taken at the Salt Flats in Utah, which is really just an incredible outdoor space. I felt so blessed to photograph such an incredible naturally beautiful place with the team I had as well. Dasha was such a great model, and Holly Speakes was our hair and makeup artist for the day. The lingerie is Agent Provacateur paired wtih a fabulous vintage pink robe. The setting was amazing for hours, and we took advantage by photographing several wardrobe changes in a variety of settings. This particular desert landscape was just such a gorgeous natural backdrop for photographing our model. I guided her through poses and facial expressions just like I do everyday clients that come to the studio in St. Louis. This desert spot was so far away from everything, there was just one tiny gas station close by. Otherwise we were truly out in nature for these images. Which, I should add, was fabulous.
